Automatic provisioning and network monitoring based on TR-369 now available for FRITZ!

During the XXX KIKE 2023 Anniversary Convention in Lodz, we had the opportunity to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the National Chamber of Ethernet Communications, the main objective of this organization is to support local telecommunications operators. During the event we had a chance to present our comprehensive solution, i.e. FRITZ routers!Box 5530 Fiber and FRITZ routers!Box 5590 Fiber, both models designed for GPON, XGS-PON and AON networks with integrated MESH Wi-Fi controller.
The expression "comprehensive solution" in this case is not an empty slogan. AVM is one of the first network equipment manufacturers with its latest FRITZ system!OS 7.5x offers in every FRITZ router!Box professional support for provisioning and monitoring based on TR-369 protocol (USP).
What in practice enables automatic provisioning and network monitoring based on TR-369? What a modern approach to CPE device management and network monitoring looks like, and what its benefits are for the operator and subscriber, we showed with our guest, Easy Solutions GmbH, during an official presentation.
The entire event was enhanced by colorful, non-alcoholic soft drinks with our favorite fritz-cola and fritz-limo.
TR-369, or User Service Platform (USP), is a standardized protocol for managing, monitoring, updating and controlling connected terminal equipment (CPE) on an ISP's network. USP is an extension of the widely accepted TR-069 protocol.

TR-369 was recently published by the BBF (Broadband Forum) offering a number of practical benefits for operators offers among others:
- lifecycle management of connected consumer devices;
- the ability to update IoT and consumer electronics to quickly and automatically deploy critical security patches;
- configuring newly installed or purchased virtual devices and services;
- allows monitoring and troubleshooting of connected devices, services and home network links already at the BOK (Customer Service Office) level without involving specialized technicians;
- easy mapping of subscribers' home networks to control quality of service;
- effective monitoring of threats;
- securely control IoT, Smart Home, smart grid functions - both locally and from the cloud.
